Uncle Alβs opened in Edgewater, New Jersey with one simple goal: make pizza the way it should be. There were no true sourdough pizza spots in the area, and we were tired of the low quality ingredients, heavy pizza, and that bloated feeling after eating.
That is what makes Uncle Alβs different. Our pizza is made with clean, fresh ingredients, real sourdough, and no seed oils, so every slice tastes better and feels lighter.

Uncle Al's was born out of frustration with poor-quality pizza that left you feeling bloated and sluggish. We use a slow-fermented sourdough crust made with clean ingredients β no cereal oils, no fillers, no shortcuts. Every pie is crafted fresh so you actually feel good after you eat. We're not just another pizza spot β we're the original clean slice of New Jersey.
Yes β and that's the whole point. Traditional sourdough uses a natural fermentation process that breaks down gluten and phytic acid, making it far easier to digest than standard pizza dough. That means no heavy, bloated feeling after your meal. Most of our customers tell us it's the first pizza they've eaten without feeling weighed down afterward. Clean dough changes everything.
